Bosco,
I will always remember George (43) Bush for encouraging US companies to
outsource jobs to
other countries. This, indeed, was an insightful policy as it resulted in
cutting labour costs.
Returning to the original caption of this post, first of all, my
congratulations to the US
for their first ever military victory in Somalia.
Secondly, anyone who has picked up a rifle knows that it is next to impossible
for three
crack shots to hit three targets in a couple of seconds, when the targets are
bobbing
in a lifeboat more than a football field away. When the crack shots themselves
are being
towed in a dingy, in the choppy Indian Ocean, the episode reminds me of the
half truths of
the Bush era when no one questioned anything.
My personal opinion of the situation is that navy seals swam under water to and
attacked the pirates boat. In a few years, the truth will come out. Until then,
everyone
can parrot the official line of the US govt.
Any East African, or for that matter anyone who knows the Somali's well will
assure you
that there is no Somali, let alone a Somali pirate, who will let a hostage live
when the
enemy has killed three of his comrades.
