Roland Francis roland.francis at gmail.com Thu Apr 16 05:48:22 PDT 2009 Does our ex-Tanzanian Goanetter realize that he is putting down his hero Obama since Obama is nothing if not the Head of the US Govt. A liar according to Mervyn, no less! Mario observes: Hehehehe! Good catch, Roland. I think the ex-Tanzanian Goanetter is having trouble adjusting to the fact that the country he works so hard to misrepresent now has his preferred candidate as president:-)) Mervyn wrote: > Returning to the original caption of this post, first of all, my > congratulations to the US for their first ever military victory in > Somalia. Mario responds: This is false. This was a unique maritime hostage rescue, not a military operation in Somalia. That may still come as Mervyn's half-Luo African compadre, President Hussein Obama, tries to show his warrior prowess by taking on the rag-tag Somalis rather than Iran or N. Korea. When the crack shots themselves are being towed in a dingy, > in the choppy Indian Ocean,.... Mario responds: The lifeboat that the Somali thugs were on was no more than 75 feet away from the warship, not "more than a football field" away. Secondly, the "crack shots" were on the stern of the large warship that was towing the lifeboat carrying the thugs and their hostage. They were not in a dinghy bobbing like a cork. Thirdly, this amazing feat of marksmanship was performed at night. Fourthly, based on a friend who is a retired US Navy Seal, this was a routine day at the office for the three snipers who spend most of their time training for any eventuality when not called to action. These three US Navy Seals were highly trained snipers using rifles with night vision telescopes and specialized in action in and around bodies of water, not just someone who was moseying around East Africa and "picked up a rifle". Mario responds: Thank God we have a real voice of reason, truth and peace like me to correct all these half-truths and untruths that crop up on Goanet. Until then, everyone can parrot the official line of the US govt.? Mario responds: And Mervyn is free to parrot his version, hopefully adjusted for the facts I have corrected above. Chances are the corrections will take the steam out of his version. Mervyn wrote: > Any East African, or for that matter anyone who knows the Somali's > well will assure you that there is no Somali, let alone a Somali pirate, > who will let a hostage live when the enemy has killed three of his > comrades. Mario responds: While Mervyn obviously has a lot of respect for Somalis, especially Somali thugs, ...er, desperate pirates, this is obviously a bogus East African urban legend, since the three Somali thugs are now safe with Allah and their hostage is alive and well and back with his family.
