>From Goa-Velha or Curca or Banbolim throw a strone towards Siridao and it will fall in the Dempos property because entire Siridao is the property of Dempos. The Pejechem Fest or Feast of Canjee always celebrated on the Sunday after Easter. The feast is popularly known as ‘Jez Nodrem’ or ‘Jez Nozre’ (actually it is JEZU Nazareth or Jesus of Nazareth). But the Chapel main altar shows Our Lady with Angel and Holy Spirit (see pic) I read somewhere that the chapel is infact of ‘Our Lady of Annunciation’ On the feast day, the giant image of Jesus Christ is also shown (Ecce Hommo) see Pic. Tomorrow is the feast day (19/4/09) As usual, traditional (medicinal) Pez or Canjee will be served to all free of cost. Eat as much as you can. You only buy a ‘mattul’ see pic) or bring one from home. Miskutt and Pez is free (Traditionally offered by Dempos) The Feast day masses are: 6. 7. 8, 9, 10.15 (high Mass) and 5pm.
