PANAJI: The World Earth Day will be celebrated on April 22 and in order to bring awareness among the young generation, Goa science centre, Panaji, will be organising various programmes from April 22-25. The programmes include a special film on conservation of environment and wildlife and, sky observations from April 22-25 at the centre. A quiz contest on Planet Earth will be held on April 24 at 12 noon for the school students. On April 25 a science lecture on Monsoon and cyclones -role of global warming' will be delivered by NIO scientist, Dr M R Ramesh Kumar, at 11.30am. The programmes are open for general public.
