You must have a good understanding of storytelling skills, dramatic structure and narrative. You must demonstrate the creative imagination required to project your vision on to the page, and to breathe life and individuality into your characters and the life-choices they make. You need to write visually, using sound and dialogue to support the action in order to create a credible and internally consistent story world. You should be creative, dedicated, well organized, and capable of working individually as well as a part of a team, to strict deadlines. You must be able to handle frequent rejection and criticism of your work with equanimity. Your work day would typically involve: - coming up with themes and ideas, brainstorming sessions - extensively researching background material through the web, books, plays, film scripts, DVD’s etc - developing believable plots and characters, based on the storyline - laying out the screenplay and research to an agreed format Educational Qualifications B.A or M.A in English Literature or equivalent (Must demonstrate extensive knowledge of English cinema and Theatre) Personal Qualifications Lots and Lots of passion for Film and Writing.
