April 24, 2009 The Election Commission of India has directed under section 58(2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 that the poll taken at Polling Station No. 18 (Government Primary School, Baye Surla) of 17-Sanquelim Assembly Segment of 01-North Goa Parliamentary Constituency shall be void and appointed April 27, 2009(Monday), as the date and fixed the hours from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm for taking fresh poll in the said polling station in accordance with the Commission instructions contained in Chapter-XIII of Hand Book for returning Officers. There was a EVM failure and it was not possible to retrive the correct data.
