I have no idea why this type of dangerous false information regarding public
health and safety is being spread in this forum. How far will this parade of
ignorance be taken to mislead Goanetters on this important matter about their
lives?

80% of patients with Hodgkin's Disease today are cured with proper modern
medical treatment. Please see the following information provided by the
American Cancer Society:

Mario adds:

As the lone voice of reason, truth and peace on Goanet, I strongly suggest that
medical matters, especially for serious illnesses and diseases, be left to
physicians and medical scientists.

No physician is going to prevent you from drinking chicken soup until you start
clucking yourself, but only in conjunction with serious medications for serious
illnesses. If you start clucking or growing feathers clearly you have gone too
far:-))

The Padres and other fervent religious types should perhaps restrict themselves
to advocating for the benefits of prayer and hope and a positive attitude that
are known to assist patients undergoing medical treatment, but in conjunction
with, not as an alternative to, real medicine, which should be left to REAL
physicians.

As a non-physician I have learned that the claims on behalf of alternative
medications are really the placebo effect on the mind in action. Rather than
try to explain this, I will suggest some articles I found interesting:
