This Church is also dedicated to Our Lord, The Savior - Salvador do Mundo, in Loutolim. It is one of the three churches founded in 1581. The other two, St. Thomas (or S. Tome) in Cansaulim, and St. John the Baptist in Colva, according to Oriente Conquistado, by Fr. Francisco de Souza, S.J.
