Very true! We usually encourage callers to keep someone watching the movements of the snake so that they can guide volunteers where to look, when they arrive. That is also a reason why, in Saligao, we aim to train as many volunteers as possible. The response time to a snake call has to be as quick as possible...both for the sake of the snake and the callers! Till recently, volunteers had to ride in from Mapusa to attend to a Saligao snake call. More volunteers from each village would help immensely. Contact Suneel Korajjkar of Green Cross @ 9822123042 / 2253715 or others from the list we put out, like Clinton Vaz, for training at an all Goa level. Solidarity.
