Exultemus coi alegria http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9T2H_SiZnk
I remember this hymn (Saints special) was sung during the feast day or on special occasions like Baptism, wedding, birthdays etc In Salcette. The whole hymn/lyrics is about 2-3 lines but it was dragged on repeatedly to make it look like a long one e.g. . EXULTEMUS COI ALEGRIA (whole line repeated 3 times and ‘coi alegria’ 6 times per verse) MILAGROS, MILAGROS, MILAGROS DE SANTA CRUZ (or Sant Anton, Sant Francis etc) Finally, third time.. ELA VOS, ELA VOS, ELA VOS DE SANT TODOS SANTOS (All the saints?) It has second part O VIVA VIVA VIVA VIVA EMA ENO CREO (again these 3 words repeated several time) The whole hymn is of say 4 lines but dragged on or repeated to last over five minutes I don’t know if the same is sung in rest of Goa. Any one? It goes like this (watch the second part of this clip) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9T2H_SiZnk the above was captured while travelling from Majorda to Agxi via Velsao I am curious to know what EMA, ENO and CREO means? (I know I could be wrong in saying/spelling EMA, ENO, CREO, ELA VOS etc I checked in on the net but I could not find any thing, All I found was EXULTEMUS COI ALEGRIA, and corrected the spelling accordingly. The first part of the clip is ‘Regina..’ thanks [email protected] for Goa & NRI related info... http://in.groups.yahoo.com/group/GOAN-NRI/ For Goan Video Clips http://youtube.com/joeukgoa In Goa, Dial 1 0 8 For Hospital, Police, Fire etc
