It is time to put some sense into Goan women. The way they have gone off with
Mahanand, the killer just on a promise of marriage means that there needs to be
a lot of sense drilled into them. Each of them paid with their lives. Did they
inquire about Mahanand at all, before they decided to move with him ? Did they
inquire about his past, his occupation, whethe he was married or not, what his
character was like?
Surely Godess Kamakshi is not going to put this sense into them. Or going
for even hundreds of umas is not going to increase the cells in their
brains any more.
One of my mentors called marriage as an institution for copulation. Though
I may not agree with him fully, it is important to bust the myth about
the institution of marriage especially in places like Goa where divorce
is considered anathema.
