A law against conversion would be unconstitutional in India. Conversions cannot and should not be banned. In a secular democracy people have a right to change their religion, give it up entirely or persuade others to do so. Nobody can take away that right. What needs to be prevented is coercion and violence. The Government is responsible only for enforcing the existing laws against the latter activities.
