Hi Goanetters, Pleased to note that some recent official endorsement finally arrived for feni; legitimacy in the beveridge world. Monitored at last! The local Bottle Shop has Beer, Wine and Spirits from the far corners of this earth but no Caju\Coconut Feni or Urak. So, am looking forward to some Madam Rosa on the shelves from now on. Years ago I brought 2 of the 6 bottles of Siolim Feni in used Indian rum bottles and re-sealed with wax. Pleasant tasting stuff. God Bless a local gentleman who insisted that we should drink this particular one and went off and procured it for us. These days Orstrayan Quarantine would have a fit if I carried wax-sealed bottles into Australia. I'd get a big fat fine and Black Mark on the Customs and Immigration Files Forever and Ever. There was an Azavedo Bar at Calangute. I peg (HUGE), no ice but cold soda and lime. Yummy. Don't let your drinking kill you! http://www.news.com.au/travel/story/0,28318,25578619-5014090,00.html?referre r=email&source=eDM_newspulse Cheers, rubygoes
