I guess it is all right to talk about our tiatrists (living or dead) as we talk about Hollywood/bollywood actors. Tiatirsts are celebrities too. 'No smoke without fire! Did not we hear about Dharmendra-Hema Malini affair or gossips? We thought Amitab Bachan is the only one with clean records but later on he too become a part of hot bollywood gossips who was linkied with Rekha. Coming back to our tiatr. At our time, we did hear about Bab Peter-Ophelia, C Alvares – Betty Fenrs, M boyer –Antonette etc And talking about M Boyer’s hit tiatr ‘Ekuch Rosto’ where two families Christian and Hindu shown and one Christian girl falls in love with the Hindu boy… The Christian Girl and the Hindu boy (was Hindu in real life) who were supposed to be acting as lovers but allegedly end up in real love. And this cause a huge hungama by the Hindu Boy’s real wife at backstage confronting the Christian girl. Now, who is that Hindu Boy or man? And who is that Christian girl or women? Any one? Our William may be a good cantorist but we heard he had a habbit of ‘pick-poketing’ the actors backstage. Coming to the latter years- did not we hear about Rod and Jusphin? And what about now? Married Christian Peter with Hindu. Paul(in) Married Christian Lorry with another Taxi. Another Hindu Anild with Christian Allga Tuen-kar run away with a young girl and the girl’s mother blames Bab Andru..for not looking after her whilst in Bombay.. And if any one interferes with our Curtorin-kar then he knows how to expose them in his songs,tiatr and Tiatr Ads. Tiatrists are known for infighting and jealousy. Soon after the M Boyer hit Tiatr ‘Sounsar Sudorlo’ C Alvares came up with his tiatr ‘Sousar sudorlo punn monis sudronkna’ which went flop. C Alvares belonged to the splinter (bomboikar) group oppose to M Boyer Group We see that infighting and jealousy even now amongst the tiatrists. About M Boyer, we too heard of ‘Bero’ and about his conditions one of them was ‘sucurine’. It was in early 70’s, I remember, our Pad vigar asked M boyer to perform in the parish tiatr. Pe. Vigar too was from Raia. Pe Vigar on the loud speaker praising and thanking M Boyer for he being from his village and that he came because of him etc etc Just after performing his two songs, our Pe Vigar was surprised to see M Boyer demanding his Rs.40 fees. And our Pe vigar thought he performed for free. M Boyer had a bluish? fiat car and his charges also included Rs.100 for the car and this was in 80’s I think. M Boyer was a real crowed puller. Many local amateur tiatrist too hired M Boyer to give them a boost and about 50% of the audience came just for M Boyer.
