How narrow-minded we can be? Who own the property of particular parish? What kind of property is it How much revenue do they get out of this property?
I may be wrong but what I know about that kind of property they own (Salcete Churches) is mostly farming land at least in our parish and small property where you have coconut trees and mango-trees. Farming land is rented for pittance and you all probably know how much cash collections they get for a moth that is not enough to pay for the Vicar and Cur. Do we have any idea how much it costs to run a church (expenses) Mr. Barros should really get more information about all this and then criticize. I have not read income and expense report in all the gossip that is coming ? May be one of you go to your Church and ask your Communidad for yearly report.
