CID has started investigation regarding Believers activities. Around 14000
populations of Chimble and Mershiwada where mostly Hindu laborer community
coming from outside Goa resides, 2 to 3 thousands may have converted by
believers as per information received from CID.
NGO run by believers has bought few buildings in the area which are not
approachable by vehicle.
Activities of Believers is giving rise to social tension in the area.
My comments.
Hope that no connection is established between 26 temple vandalism in the past
with believers activities.
It will be very interesting to study the religious background of those who
converted by believers.
In the last assembly election (2007) Jenifer (Babush) was confident on wining
St-Cruz on backing by these voters.
Congress should field Babush loyalist to contest St-Cruz/ then only Education
Minister may join Congress as reported in Local papers.
