There is a difference, Mario between Paranoia and due diligence.

Mario responds:

Jose,

It's hard to tell the difference when you respond sarcastically to a joke I
made after previously taking umbrage at a perfectly inoffensive question by a
new non-Goan Goanetter and responding with angry, churlish and insulting
comments, repeatedly using Rough Guides to distract attention from the topic,
ranting about topics that others have written about Goa, and questioning Sapna
Sahani's credentials in an accusatory tone, even referring to her in one post
as he/she.

I still have no idea why you went off the deep end in response to Sapna
question given that the Inquisition is a despicable FACT.

For example, you wrote the following, addressed to Sapna.  I have never seen
anyone else on Goanet questioned in such a rude and insulting manner:

http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2009-June/178873.html

Excerpts:

a: Since you make a claim of being an Anglo-Indian, Please expand

b: Since you clain to have been "brought up as a Catholic" please
advise IF you ever practised Catholicism and why you left the church.
If you have fallen out, it will be easier to understand. Some Catholic
priests who took advantage of the Church (for education) are (as
expected) quite anti-Catholic.

c: Have you written/presented in public ..... on any of the above (1-6) topics ?

d: have you (or anyone on your behalf) ever claimed to have answers to
the Da Vinci Code?
[end of excerpt]

What the hell is this?

What "due diligence" are you demanding, and for what?

The original comment was simple, perhaps misguided, that Sapna believed that
most visitors to Goa were not aware of the Inquisition, wondered why and asked
Goanet members for their comments on this.

She later happened to mention something she read about the Inquisition in Rough
Guides, which you have then started using as a red herring and a whipping boy
to distract attention from the original question, which I don't believe you
have even addressed.

Since you have done your due diligence. Perhaps you can now answer Sapna's
original question and enlighten all of us.
