Did Selma check if Goan Catholic freedom fighters were honoured in past lists? 
Maybe, some will be featured next year or year after that.
Why call this "insidious writing"? If Selma cares to read the history of Goan 
freedom struggle, she will learn that many Goan Catholics were in the 
forefront. Check the Who's Who of Freedom Fighters brought out by Dr. Prakash 
Shirodkar.

Goa wasn't burning as Rome was. Or, was it, dear Selma? Goa was being liberated 
and, in the circumstances, did Selma expect that Goans rush with their 
"coittus" to prevent Goa from being liberated?
Again, check freedom history why Lohia landed in Goa. What does it matter if he 
was from Uttar Pradesh? He was a national leader of great standing.
The role of Goan Catholics have been documented, though there could be some 
ommissions. If someone with knowledge of any Goan Catholics who played crucial 
roles during the freedom struggle have been left out should bring it to public 
notice through the media or write to the concerned ministry. A fight for 
justice for such Goan Catholics should begin. 
True, as they say, there were some "freedom fighters" and some were "freedom 
shouters." It would need a finely-skilled historian to sort them out and place 
them into respective categories. Perhaps, a "revisionist" history is called 
for. 
There may be students doing their thesis on Goan freedom struggle. They may be 
interested in taking a serious look into the issue of non-recognition of some 
Goan Catholic freedom fighters.
Are there not places, institutions named after some Goan Catholic freedom 
fighters? I am not sure about monuments.
Anyway, who the bleep cares about Selma's newly-acquired knowledge of Goan 
freedom history?
