His Grace the Archbishop Filip Neri Ferrao launches the website of Bigfoot Cross Museum at Loutolim.
The website of Bigfoot Cross Museum - www.bigfootcrossmuseum.com was launched on Sunday, 28th June at the hands of His Grace Archbishop Filip Neri Ferrao. The website is divided into 4 sections. Its describes the "Museum" and how the collection started. The "Cross Exhibits" that explain the evolution of the crosses on exhibition and the different categories. The "Crosses in Goa" list different crosses and their legends in Goa and the last describes The Book on crosses - "In Search". The museum website has been designed by Lynn Barreto Miranda who heads BM Web Studio, a web designing studio based in Margao. The museum which is located at Bigfoot in Loutolim houses a collection of 1062 crosses from around the world, classified in 82 categories, another 250 crosses will been added to the museum shortly. Maendra Jocelino Araujo Alvares the owner of the museum took His Grace Archbishop Filip Neri Ferrao around to view the exhibits. On the way to the launch His Grace the Archbishop visited the Icon Chapel - having 142 icons, and the Ganesh Idols' collection housed at "Casa Araujo Alvares" Maendra's ancestral heritage mansion. These are Maendra's personal collections.
