Edzard Ernst, one of the authors of this nice article is the world's first professor of Complementary Medicine at University of Exeter. Unlike S. Chander Madan, he was formally trained in homeopathy, and practiced it for several years in a homeopathic hospital in Germany. Here is a short profile of him: "Profile Edzard Ernst is Maurice Laing chair of complementary medicine at the University of Exeter in the UK. He qualified as a physician in Germany and has trained in acupuncture, homeopathy and other alternative treatments. He was previously head of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Vienna, Austria."
