Damn shame, he could have been closer home, working to
improve the lot of our own people. Ditto the other half of Pashtun land, over
the Kargil border, where Paki Muslim soldiers have also died, evicting
all 600,000 residents of rebellious Swat, from their homes : quite a paradox
there, and a circus, with Paks and India jostling for the allegiance of an
alien race of people who will have accept neither of their neighbours as
'liberators.'
In treaties signed with both kings in 1890, Britain had agreed to return
to China and Afghanistan in 1990, territory that had been unlawfully acquired
in earlier decades. Hongkong retuned to the fold, but clearly, the laws of
civility seem not to extend to 'brown' people. eric.
