Albert writes:- Tiatr academy should encourage tiatros and tiatrists. Small
tiatrist like me and small script writers like me need encouragement. I have a
satisfaction that I was able to act on a professional stage with the
professionals like M.Boyer, Jacint Vaz, Mike Mehta, Remie Colaco, Anthony San,
Greg and sabina and even Prince Jacob when I was acting in Fr.Freddy's tiatrs
and also Mike Mehta's grant road and o papagaio canta e berra. If these great
writers had not to give me a chance I would not know what it is to act on the
stage. Its because of Kala academy that I was able to win the second prize in
the tiatr competition in 1984 and also get the first prize for script writing.
I must also thank the Goa konkani academy because of which I got the second
prize for tiatr script in 2007. I must say a big thanks to the goans in London
who were able to stage my tiatr in LOndon this year and the last show will be
in august 2009 . Like me there are many young talented writers
who have never given a chance to act on the stage or write their tiatr script
may be because many do not know there are various competitions floated in Goa.
Today the tiatr academy should accept tiatr script from any writers like me and
convert it into a fine quality tiatr. This script should be scanned by good
script writers and corrected into a fine tiatr. A good director should be
selected to direct this tiatr and good set of professionals and amaeteurs who
are willing to set their foot on the professional stage should be invited to
act in these tiatrs. Reharsal for 8 to ten days with music .There should be a
full fledge stage committee to chalk out stage setting. Need for modern stage.
Tiatr academy should have their own sound system which should be a modern one
.It should also include actors having mike attached to their dress so that they
can act from any part of the stage. All income from the tiatr should be the
property of the academy .Is someone listening to me ? Please do not forget to
include me in your tiatr.
