it seems in vain, to fathom out faulty thinking, never mind try to
make one understand!. When Sadaam was around the Christians were happy and
contended, so were a majority of Iraqis. It is with removal of Sadaam that
the whole area has become destabilised. The terrorists surfaced, the Shias
are now threatening all the Sunni Arab World ( who are U.S. allies).

Mario responds:

The allegation that the majority of Iraqis were happy and contended is plainly
false. Perhaps the 20% of Sunnis were, which is where Gabe seems to get his
information from. Talk about faulty thinking by Gabe who does not even
consider the facts.

Those interested in the facts would know about Saddam's gassing of the Kurds
and Shia which led to the UN imposing "no-fly" zones to protect them from
Saddam and his goons. Also the dozens of mass graves filled with the political
opponents of Saddam Hussein.

Saddam was removed in a few weeks with very little loss of life. Thereafter it
was sectarian violence that caused the violence in which Iraqis were killing
other Iraqis and the Iraqi government and the coalition were trying to stop the
violence. Anyone who had actually visited Iraq would surely know this.

If the small number of Christians were happy while the Kurds and Shia were
being massacred it would be a disgrace. However, based on the Iraqi Christians
I know, most of whom came to the USA, this was not the case. Unlike Gabe they
know why they had to leave Iraq, and they praise George Bush for liberating
Iraq from Saddam Hussein.

Gabe wrote:

The man does not understand 'causes and effects'. It is because Sadaam is
not around that there is mayhem in Iraq. No one, except a few privileged in
the green belt feel liberated. Who gave the USA the right to promote regime
change?

Mario responds:

The cause of the regime change that deposed the brutal tyrant was the US-led
coalition. The effect should have been the Iraqis using this opportunity to
build a country that was peaceful and prosperous. The majority did try and
elected a government and a unique constitution for that area.

It was the UN resolution 1441 that gave the USA and the coalition the approval
to liberate Iraq from the tyrant Saddam.

What is amazing is that Gabe knows so little about Iraq after telling us he has
been there recently and continues to sympathize with the most murderous tyrant
in recent history.
