For, No outfit which makes demands "time and again" and is ignored (by way of 'till date no action has been taken') so easily, could consider itself relevant. Governments take consistant cognisance of groups which are consistantly considered relevant by the voting public. This outfit, along with all those "Aya Ram Gaya Ram' (Fly by Night) Andolans, Manches and Sanghs are just as useful or useless as they eventually turn out to be. Instead of being under one umbrella along with the organisation (like the Goa Foundation) with experience and a record of achievement, these outfits are, in all likelihood, led by narcissistic individuals who probably believe that they (and not the issues) are the main reason for the existence of these outfits. No wonder, we have so much of bickering within the ranks (of the alleged leadwrship)....as we saw in the latest Soter-'Mayor' missive on the GBA. Pray tell us, WHY should the government or anyone else take these self conceited guys seriously. Successive governments have gotten away with ignoring these mooshkithesque folk (except with the odd token here and there). Why should they change now? jc 2009/8/3 Sabina Martins <[email protected]> [1] Bailancho Saad demands that the Goa Assembly pass a legislation in the current Assembly session, extending the Maharashtra legislation for benefit of domestic workers to the state of Goa. [2] Saad activists opined that time and again the organisation has been demanding a legislation for benefit of Domestic Workers to prevent their exploitation and oppression, but till date no action has been taken. [3] The unsatisfactory implementation of the Goa Children's Act, which expressly prohibits child labour also came up for discussion. Bailancho Saad will press for the demands. [4] Bailancho Saad demanded that the accused who are absconding be arrested immediately.
