Nothing can recreate its charm. And there are a group of people who experience a great deal of happiness capturing this natural beauty in still photography as a witness to Nature's glorious incarnations or more simply a way to translate to others the feeling that captivated the photographer. Naguesh Eco-forests, a foray to tap the eco-tourism potential in Goa has come out with various projects in South Goa for both tourists and locals. In keeping with the aim of the establishment the brains behind it have decided to organise a photography competition for the people. Vivek Pawaskar, one of the organisers of the all Goa nature photography competition explained how the competition would be a good way of putting the philosopher, Xeno's golden words of living life in agreement with nature into practise. "We want the children to appreciate nature. Besides prizes we will also put on display the photographs of the participants at the Naguesh love forest, a part of our eco venture concern. We want to convey the message that they are people out there who are interested in doing something the ecology," Mr Pawaskar said. The competition is in four categories-birds, animals, flowers and scenery. There is no limit to the number of original entries in each category. The photographs should be of 8 inches by 10 inches size. Last day for entires is August 14.
