Agassaim-Goa Velha  bypass: When will it be ready Mr. Cherchil?

PWD Minister Churchill Alemao. in a written reply,  Goa Assembly on 3rd August
2009 now says that the  Goa Velha bypass will be ready by December 2009..

That means, he was just fooling around all this time with the dates given in
the past?
If you are not sure of what you are doing or talking then why give such dates?

What more? The PWD Minister now say  construction of the first phase is now
complete and that 50% of the second phase is still remaining

If the minister knew about the progress of first/second phase why he keeps
lying all the time?  Perhaps, he did not know himself and gave dates whatever
comes out from his mouth.

Looks like even some fools are becoming ministers.

It may be reminded that the process of constructing the said bypass such as
land acquisition etc was started in 1980s and going by the past false dates
given by the minister,  there is no guarantee that it will complete by the end
of this year. Perhaps, this bypass could create a history  as ‘longest time
taken for completion i.e. more than 25 years’

The sanctioned estimate for the bypass was Rs.8.87 crore including 3.13 for
under passage.  So far spent Rs.7.17.
This was given in a written reply to St. Andre MLA (source ToiGoa 5/8/09)

He also said the delay was due to the non-availability if red mud.

Previous dates for completion given were:
Aftr the Monsoon 2008 then
September
October
December
Januray 2009 then

June end
