The Goa Su-Raj Party wishes every citizen of INDIA a very happy Independence
Day, today, 15th. August, 2009.
We, the people of India, must be thankful to our peers for giving us the
ultimate ... Our FREEDOM through INDEPENDENCE.
And we, the people of Inida must remember that there were many, especially
in Great Britain, and more specifically the British Prime Minister, Sir
Winston Churchill, the hero of the Second World War, who was against giving
Independence to India and therefore replaced by Clement Attlee as the Prime
Minister of Great Britain to do just that.
Today, after 62 years of having enjoyed our Freedom through Independence,
despite of the forces that have been working against it, we, the people of
India find some solace and consolation in the words of the enemy of our
Freedom and Independence, Sir Winston Churchill, who spake thus, then, in
the British Parliament during the ongoing debate to give Independence to
our country, INDIA.

You are handing over the reins of hungry millions in the hands of men of
straw, looters, free-booters, scoundrels and rogues, where anything and
everything will be taxed to squeeze the millions and where a day will come
when even the air will not be free to breathe.

One good, unbiased look around will tell us, the people of India, that Sir
Winston Churchill may have been right, after all.
Our farmers are committing suicides in scores. We import costly food grain
and allow it to rot in our go-downs. Innocent people are being shot dead
claiming to be terrorists.
And for all this and more, today, on our country's 62nd Independence Day,
we must actually thank Sir Winston Churchill for the near prophesy he made
in 1947 in the British Parliament...... as we take note of the following:

Recently, due to international pressure, the Swiss government agreed to
disclose the names of the account holders only if the respective governments
formally asked for it.. Indian government is not asking for the details...
..no marks for guessing why?

Winston Churchill, Sir, where-ever you are, you must know that we, the
people of India, do not like you, because you stood against our Freedom and
our Independence. But you must surely know that we, the people of India,
just love you, because you had a small soft corner for all those our poor
farmers who have died in vain, all those children who have died not because
there was no food to eat but because the food did not reach them, all those
untouchables who thought they had shed their stinking skins through
independence, but 62 years on, their country has given them newer and more
stinking coats of skins, all those people who thought they were free and
independent to worship whichever God they chose, raped, burned, killed and
buried alive for choosing which God to worship. And here in this small state
of Goa, we take pride in electing our representatives democratically to work
for us. But they seem to be increasingly working for themselves by raising
their own salaries and perquisites, leaving us to bear the stink of every
day uncleared and un-attended garbage and worst of all, the stink of
mal-administration. And those whom we elect as our legislators, forget that
they have passed legislations and made rules and regulations, and penalize
those who obey them by even making them kneel down for doing the jobs they
are paid to do. And that is not all, Winston Churchill, Sir, our press is
not free to publish what we, the people of this state think about our
elected representatives and how they govern this state. They want to send
the pressmen as well as us, the more conscious citizens to prison for being
INDEPENDENT and FREE. And through all this, we the people of INDIA, and
especially, the people of this state of GOA, do believe that the air we
breathe is not free at all and therefore we give you hundred per cent marks
for being dead right 62 years ago.
