I'm sure this will make those who believe that man can control and calibrate
the climate, even with a growing number of major economies declining to
participate in the policy prescriptions, cringe.

I have seen some overheated predictions here on Goanet recently, pun intended,
that climate change will cause some human horrors, but here we have a Nobel
Prize-winning economist Thomas Schelling actually publicly WISHING for horrific
catastrophies in a recent interview:

Excerpt:

I sometimes wish that we could have, over the next five or ten years, a lot of
horrid things happening -- you know, like tornadoes in the Midwest and so forth
-- that would get people very concerned about climate change. But I don't think
that's going to happen.
[end of excerpt]

I live in the Midwest and here we have a Nobel Prize winner wishing that my
region experiences multiple catastrophies. What kind of person would wish for
events that could cause horrendous damage and loss of life, just to further a
policy he believes in and others disagree with.
