The issue here is not whether I am opposed to socialized medical care. I am,
with no preconditions.
Mario responds:
The real issue here is your ability to either comprehend plain English or
alternatively, your veracity or lack thereof, which I have already illustrated
for the Nth time in:
http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2009-August/181615.html
If you are unable to comprehend what I have written, how can any rational
Goanetter believe you are able to comprehend the assumptions you use in your
analyses?
Marlon wrote:
The facts suggest otherwise. Mario claims that the current, allegedly free
market system in the US is working fine.
Mario responds:
False.
Here is what I concluded in my response to JC:
http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2009-August/181597.html
Quote: "By the time the smoke clears, we should have some workable reforms that
cover the people who need help."
Here is what I said, in part, in my response to lyrawmn:
http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2009-August/181657.html
Quote: "To begin with, the common-sense objective should be to help people who
really need financial help in obtaining health care coverage, not just everyone
who does not have it."
Quote: "These are the hard core uninsured who really need help and should be
helped."
Marlon wrote:
So here we have Mario, defending the broken socialized status quo, while
himself admitting that it is not sustainable.
Mario responds:
False.
Here is what I said in:
http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2009-August/181502.html
Quote:
However, because the Medicare system has been designed and is run by government
bureaucrats and is a single-payer system, it is projected to become bankrupt by
2017.

Thus for Gilbert to point to this system as a paragon to be expanded for all
Americans is disingenuous at best. Either that, or he has no idea what is
going on.

Furthermore, Mario wants the public to fund his expenses, while he opposes the
same for those younger than age 65 and in particular the youth and children who
he claims don't want or need medical coverage.
Mario responds:
False.
Here is what I said in:
http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2009-August/181615.html
Quote: "If Marlon would read and/or understand what has been posted already he
would know that I am opposed to socialized medicine precisely because the
government run Medicare system is going broke."
In Marlon's inability to either understand what I am writing, or alternatively,
a pathological "need" to distort and misrepresent my views in order to make his
own points, this has somehow been translated into, "Mario wants the public to
fund his expenses...."
I would urge Goanetters to keep the evidence I have presented here in mind when
you see other posts by Marlon.

Marlon, getting personal is a sure sign of weakness.

Roland,
Sometimes, the truth hurts.

Another possible truth: Marlon could not argue his point of view 'logically'
with Mario, so he got personal.
I trust Marlon and all those who thought it was OK for Marlon to 'get
personal with Mario' ..... have a good Sunday and week ahead.
Mario responds:
Thanks, JC, but in fairness to the others, they are
a) probably confident that the lone voice on Goanet for reason, truth and
peace, would methodically dismantle the factual misrepresentations and show
them for what they are, and
b) know that Roland and you are right on the mark:-))
