Hi Selma,
There is more than meets the eye. A few months ago, Jason referred to Rajan as
Hitler. I believe both Jose Colaco and I asked him to withdraw such a comment
which I believe he did not. Even as rhetorical flourish or hyberbole such
name-calling is unacceptable.
It is one thing to refer to a public politician like Bush, Obama, Blair, etc.
as Hitler, quite another to a private citizen simply because he does not agree
with you, more so on a public forum. Once a smear is used, what is sauce for
the goose is sauce for the gander. Referring to private individuals as Hitler,
Mugabe is going to get the responses they deserve. No one can then ask for or
expect civil discourse after that.
