A Goanet reader from Portugal writing to me privately states that i should
not
indulge unnecessarily in fantasies namely past misdeeds of casteist leaders
of our society. Of course, whatever i write , and which he does not agree
with,
immediately becomes fantasies. Further that we should forget our past and
move on.
I certainly agree with him that we should look towards the future but at
the same
time we cannot ignore past misdeeds. They have to be kept in proper
perspective.. After all, what is history ? Is it not remembrance of the
past,both
good and bad, deeds ?
