Likely?most goanetters may know the sad news on the passing away of Senator
Edward Kennedy from his Brain tumor.

This death and that of many others, destroys the myth commonly heard, "In
America today, death is an option"

Mario responds:

If death in America was an option wouldn't the life span be much higher?
Besides, isn't a "commonly heard myth" an oxymoron?

I have lived in America for 38 years with and among physicians and have never
heard anyone say, "In America today, death is an option".

Any American who says anything like this would need their head examined or be
in a straitjacket already.

However, there are some advantages to living in America:

As far as Ted Kennedy was concerned, the American expertise he received by all
accounts is why he lived far longer than his initial diagnosis and prognosis
indicated.

May his tortured soul rest in peace.
