This is very true.

I for one, who have survived a cardiac arrest, which could have been fatal, am on black chocolate (pure cacao nibs).

Black chocolate (home-made in my case) is believed to produce Nitrous Oxide gas in the cardio-vascular system thereby dilating the arteries which may have been clogged through deposits of plaque (hydrogenated oils/fats) thus helping the cardio-vascular flow besides giving a heavy dose of anti-oxidants and calories.

It takes getting used to the bitter taste in the mouth, though.

In contrast, Lindt (Swiss Black Chocolate) bar is priced at Rs. 235/- at Ajay Supermarket, Mapusa and contains only 70 percent chocolate. Whereas my home-made is 95 + percent chocolate and besides cardio-vascular benefits it is believed to cut down on fat.
