The simple and healthy joy of walking has also become hazardous in Goa. Besides
the air pollution, there is mortal fear of being hit by a vehicle. One has to
watch out for potholes, stray cattle/dogs and cowdung/poop.Where there are
footpaths, they are littered with garbage, overgrown weed , slippery moss or
they are  illegally occupied.Branches stick out from trees planted near
compound walls, vehicles illegally parked, gates open onto footpaths and bird
droppings from proliferating crows is another hazard. In the monsoons it gets
worse, and the splashing of dirty water by whizzing vehicles add to the misery.
Paradise for whom?Where is any discipline, simple planning or  governance?
