Two new showrooms/office spaces, double height (135 sq m each with bath) for lease in upscale Campal/Miramar beach area, Panaji, Goa. Contact: [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Talking Photo We called it 'Masal-pollo' Yes, those day, eating masal-pollo was not within our reach. It was costing 30p. Also, it had to be eaten in style. I mean with fork and spoon. Forks n Spoons on a eating table? I must have used it for the first time in my life at a UDPI eating house. It was also available at Bombay Cafe, old station Road, Margao Goa etc Now, I don't care, I just use my hands and it gives me more pleasure eating that way. Patoll-Bhaji or Suki-Bhaji costing just 15p which also included one unddo or paum (loaf of bread). The same bhaji now Rs.10 and pay Rs.3 extra for paum. I prefer 'Puris' to Paum - 'Puri-Bhaji' Where as this 'Masal-Pollo' now popularly known as 'Masala Dosa' costs Rs.18 http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoauk20/3888263787/sizes/l/ or http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoauk20/3888263787/ The two little containers you see there in the plate are of 'Chetney' and 'Sambar'. We only had white Chetney at that time. I ate without it. The 'gorom-gorom' Cha (tea) you see there, is costing Rs.5 It was then, just 5p. I still see some people pouring the tea in the saucer and drink in from there. I think this is to cool the tea as some people (like me) not use to take it while very hot. I usually ask for another empty cup or a glass to cool it..
