There is a famous konkani proverb ass quoted in ..
The Konkani Proverbs by V.P.Chavan in devanagri with English translations.
Undir Malacca gelo...simply means...the rat has gone to Malacca Islands
and returned in no way wiser. This is in reference to insignificant persons
who brag about their wisdom, simply because they have visited foreign parts.
Can anyone give some more variations on this same proverb...
