FN. You seem to have all the answers/excuses to support uncontrolled migration into Goa. Surely you will also appreciate that there are other factors which make the situation worse e.g. (1) illegal conversion on Land to bring in Mega-Projects and with the migrant workers and settlers from other part of India. (2) Migrant Vote-Banks fueled politicians. (3) Goans denied of employment due to high level of corruption, I personally know many who had to leave because they could not afford the huge bribes required by the corrupt government
I have missed you views on the above 3 points; kindly let me know Arwin 2009/9/22 Bernado Colaco <[email protected]>: > I think you are off the tangent like amigo JC. > The question here is does a?country have to be > usurped by a migrant population just because > their own (not all) have left the soil? Economics and labour-markets would play this role, specially when the outgoing population (i) leaves a lot of vacant roles and labour shortages waiting to be filled (ii) sends in remittances which fuel local consumption needs (iii) the demography tilts in terms of age, creating a larger elderly or child population needing to be taken care of back home, I would guess. > Goa is a free for all. It is better to understand > the situation now than later, when there will > be no Goa left. Please do not come with > khobrio of hate sentiments etc. Please define "free for all", in the context of being part of a wider national identity the size of India. Are you recommending China-style restrictions that apply in Macau (SAR, People's Republic of China)?
