Vinay Natekar's delight on the acquittal of BJP MLA Manoj Pradhan is outright
unresonable and stupid to say the least.
First
"Facing five cases of murder and six of arson." Perhaps this fact minus one is
fascinating for Natekar. Or perhaps Natekar sees it as some sort of
distinguished service to the nation.
(Pradhan was arrested in October last year and sent to jail. He, however, won
the last assembly election from G Udaygiri segment in Kandhamal from jail. He
was released from jail for 15 days in July this year to enable him to take oath
as member of the Orissa assembly.)
Perhaps time spent in prison and the murder and arson cases look charming on
the CV of an elected representative of the people!! At least for people like
Natekar.
Second
With the loopholes in our antiquated judicial system, winning a case is more
often than not about the effectiveness of a lawyer rather than a matter of
justice.
The best lawyers can get the worst cases in the favour purely on their personal
merit rather than the facts of the case.
Manoj Pradhan was acquitted for lack of evidence. Who would chose to risk the
life of his/her family but giving evidence against somebody who already carries
a reputation for five murders? Given the fact that people generally love to
have a trouble-free life. At least those trouble and trouble-makers you can
cjose to keep at a distance by playing blind and mute.

Here is? one? latest news? about Orrissa?: BJP MLA? Manoj Pradhan is
aquitted??of the five cases against him during last year?s communal violence in
Orissa?s Kandhamal district.
Marshall Mendonca would never have posted such news because he only copy and
pastes news??which?only shows ?BJP in bad light.
This news is reported on many newspaper sites but TOI has failed to report it
so far. May be this news paper?shares same ideologies as Marshall.
