It was quite amusing to read this news item on the Navhind
Times website.

The question is, did they have a gun? How would they shoot the bullets without
a gun?I am not convinced that the bullets would go off on their own. The sky
marshals in the planes, carry loaded guns. From the report, it does not appear
that they had the bullets in their hand bags or cabin luggage!

VASCO: The Vasco police have arrested two sisters for possessing pistol
bullets in their luggage before they could board a flight at the Dabolim
airport on Sunday evening.

According to investigating police officer, Mr Vikram Naik, the two sisters who
are in the age group of 19 and 23 and residents of Mumbai, had come down to Goa
to spend holidays.

Before they could board the Mumbai-bound flight at around 6 p.m. on Sunday
they were intercepted by Jet Airways security staff. The security personnel
interrogated the sisters and found bullets in their luggage.

Both of them were later handed over to the Vasco police for further
investigation. The police during its investigation found that both the sisters
were unaware about the bullets and their father had obtained permission to
carry the bullets.

The Vasco police have registered an offence against both the girls under
section 3 read with 25 of the Arms Act.

Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI, Mr Braz
Menezes.
