That he is claimed today by the Shiv Sena, itself should tell us something. Of course they are welcome to their heroes but they are not our heroes and we as Goans should have nothing to do with the culture of hate. As the lone voice on Goanet of reason, truth and shanti, I would like to know Selmabai's independent source(s) as well. From the absolute certainty in her remarks one may get the idea she knew Shivaji personally and had crossed swords with him:-)) The claim "That he is claimed by the Shiv Sena, itself should tell us something." simply does not tell us anything. The Shiv Sena are simply gaunti Maharashtrians paranoid about Maharashtra being over-run by non-Marashtrians. I seem to vaguely recall that we have some Goans on Goanet paranoid about Goa being over-run by non-Goans and demanding that some mythical "Goan identity" be maintained by some kind of government fiat. Perhaps they should call themselves the Selma Sena:-))
