Today, we had gone to Orlim to pay our last repected to the yound Edison Fernandes.
Besides wishing his immediate family member, we also had in mind of meeting or wishing his entire tiatr troups (Mario Menezes Group) like Mario himself, Rosy Alvares, Lawry Travaso, Agnes D’Silva etc No, not a single person from Mario fixed members was seen. On equiry we were told that they (entire troupe) left for Dubai this Morning to perform there on 22nd October. Edison’s mother too was not there as she is sick and in the hospital so also his mother in law. Some of the tiatrist we saw were: Hortencio Pereira Ben Evangelisto Milagres de Chandor Socoro de Sta, Cruz Philip de Orlim Xek Amir Teotonio There could be more. As it became darker (6.30pm) we could not see more, the whole thing must have got over just after 7pm. Edison also acted in 2/3 of the latest ‘Beiman Kir’ shows, the tiatr only released on 11th of this month (Oct) at Mapusa and 13th at Margao and one show in his village at Orlim May be on 12th Oct. He died on 17th October after 4 days in hospital ICU as per Wilson's press note.
