Re-sending third time, it seems there is a problem with yahoo mail delivery. first sent at 7.30pm Talking Photo: Amitabh Bachaan and Keith Vaz in Goa but.. Both come to Goa to launch a Mobile Diabetes Unit today the 25th Oct.2009 At Vena Hundai on NH17. We read about it on all newspapers and when we saw a qtr page ad on front page saying ‘you are invited’ we also decided to join but little we realized that we would be treated like 2nd class citizens. We arrived there just after 4pm There are two sections, one with well decorated with chair etc for the special invites (?) or First Class Citizens? and the other at the rear with no seating facility as if it is a viewing gallery for migrants. This is what I capture by zooming 10x (see in the end amitabh..) While attempting a second shot, a security guy (a Goan in Civil) physically stopped by placing his hand infront of the lenses saying ‘Photography not allowed’ One of my friends confronted him saying how come there are scores of people using cameras in the front section? To which he had no reply but another one said ‘they have cards’. To us it was like a more of publicity stunt. That’s what we saw there and that’s what we felt about it. We left the venue immediately in protest. Amitabh Bachan, in his speech said, he first visited Goa in 1969, film ‘Saat Hindustani’ and that he is there to help anyone for a social cause. He also reminded CM Kamat (who was also there sitting on the dias, see pic) to count him in on such issues. Many empty chairs were seen. It also appeared that the security personnel, Media persons, police etc putting together were outnumbering the actual seated in the front section.
