Remember this famous slogan? When Indians euphorically declared that
Indians-Chinese were bhai bhai? Well we Goans can now euphorically
celebrate the fact that in Goa atleast, Congress-BJP are bhai bhai.
Ofcourse the Congress, watch Sardinha wax eloquent about communalism, has
now retracted the call to ban the SS of Goa. Why? Well apparently, an
outfit whose members plan to blow up innocent children, revelers and
devotees still does not qualify as an outfit that needs to be banned. In
every organization there are "good people and bad people" is what Sardinha
tells us. This is the same logic America used with the Klu Klux Klan in
the 1949s. There were some who only stitched those white robes and wizard
hats. Then there were others who wore them.
Congress babu and head honcho, Kamat was the same man who wanted to ban M
F Hussain's documentary from being shown at the Film Festival a few months
back. Why? Well because the HJS asked him too.
A little earlier in the year, the Speaker of the Assembly threatened the
freedom of the press and offered the services of the Aquada jail to one of
our Goanetters.
And then a few weeks back, Kamat wanted a picture of M F Hussain's being
pulled out of a display. Why? You guessed it. The HJS thought it
offensive.
So, Goans. There you have it. BJP-Congress bhai bhai.
