Goa Day '09 - Drawing & Collage Competitions As a prelude to the Goa Day 2009 celebrations, the Drawing and Collage competitions were conducted, today, at the Carmel School, Khaitan, Kuwait, where a large number of children from the various Indian schools gathered in a competitive spirit, very eager to display their talents and make a mark in their field of excellence. Most of the children chose to come along with both their encouraging parents, in a bid to prove their mettle and earn their praises. It was indeed a sight to behold!
The manner in which the competitions were conducted went on to show the great organizational abilities of the members of the Goan Welfare Society. The participants in the competitions were guided and led to their respective class rooms in an orderly manner. The response shown by fellow Goans and Indians from other States, has helped to keep the morale of the members of the Goan Welfare Society upbeat. Winners for the said competitions will be announced and prizes will be awarded on Goa Day 2009, to be held at the same venue on 20th November, 2009 from 11.00 am onwards. Children and parents are urged to partake in the celebrations on Goa Day '09, and enjoy a fun filled day of festivities, the truly Goan way.
