Mankod or Makod is one and the same, "hetem" belongs to the same family but 
slightly different the size may different slightly.
 
But  you you people are really interested to see some interesting "makods" 
visit the zoo called Goa' Vidhan Sabha there are forty of them

I think it works this way..

Mankod = man + kod 
Where, man = human
Kod = like (may be in some other language. A combo ? probably )

Similarly makod = ma + kod
Where ma = shortened version of man
Kod = like

Therefore, mankod = makod
