Hi Mervyn, Of course you're right. But this only underlines my initial point -- when you guys are taking digs at one another (Africander-in-Canada versus Africander-in-Canada about music-in-Goan-Konkani-made-largely-in-Bombay and a song-from-Africa) only underlines that *before cyberspace came along in the mid-1990s, things were far more disconnected.*
And to repeat another point I made, *so what if we disagree vehemently? At least we're getting onto a common page!* As for whether Malaika being a Konkani song or not, I think someone should render it into a Konkani version, sometime soon. At least then we won't have to use that as an excuse for taking pot-shots at the work of someone whom we have a bone to pick with, probably for some other reasons :-) FN 2009/11/30 Mervyn Lobo <[email protected]>: > Let me make the query easier. > In your opinion, is Malaika a Konkani song, yes or no? -- Frederick Noronha :: +91-832-2409490 ANOTHER GOA: http://tiny.cc/anothergoa Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/fredericknoronha Writing, editing, alt.publishing, photography, journalism
