Here we have it.....We now have Pope Mario the Great defending his version of
What the church can do and what it should do. I do not believe that the Pope
or any man has the right to annul marriages, and if this is so, then all those
whose marriages are annulled cannot receive communion.

Mario observes:

Hey, Manuel,

You obviously have no idea what the Pope's role is. Why don't you ask your
pastor?

It looks like you want to pretend you are the Pope so that you can make up your
own rules:-))

Manuel writes:

For consistency sake, Why wasn't King Henry the Eighth granted an annulment???
If he were granted one, Protestantism would have had minimal effect on the
faith.

Mario responds:

Good question. You will have to ask the Pope during Henry VIII's reign when
you meet him eventually. Perhaps, you are not aware that Henry VIII would have
required an annullment every few years:-))

Manuel wrote:

Why does not the Bishop excommunicate Kennedy? Is he afraid that this will
cause other Catholics who hold similar views form leaving the church if he does
this?

Mario responds:

Another good question. I think he should. The others who want to follow
Kennedy out of the Church are welcome to do so as far as I'm concerned, so that
no Catholics are tied to the million plus abortions a year just in the US.

Here is an address for Bishop Tobin where you can ask your question. Tell them
it is Pope Manuel writing:-))
