PANAJI: Internationally renowned cartoonist Padmabhushan Mario Miranda's
photo-book
on Paris will be launched in New Delhi on December 8 by ambassador of France
Jerome
Bonnafont.

The book showcases the best of Paris through the Goa-based cartoonist's view
point.
The cartoons depict few of Paris' milestones like cafes, Shakespeare and
Company
(one of the most famous bookshops of Paris which published the first edition of
James Joyce's `Ulysses'), the George's Pompidou centre and mosque constructed
in
1926 in Moroccan style besides several others.

Few of the initial pages of the book have appreciative words from award-winning
French filmmaker and writer Dominique Lapierre. Lapierre has termed the book as
`an
artistic evocation of the city of Paris'.

Mario, who had a stint with publications like the `Times of India', `Economic
Times'
and `Illustrated Weekly', presenting his book, said that visiting Paris was his
long
drawn dream during his youth.
