Beginning with senior police officers off duty recreation in casinos condoned
by DGP and entertainment by high priced belly dancers at Anjuna police station
(confirmed by event organiser called Yogi), we now have a police head constable
whilst on duty ,indulging in sex in a police jeep! Further we read reports of
the IGPs son driving the DGPs official car, crashing into a electric pole with
the power minister's son on board and a son of an attorney general among others
returning at 4AM from a disco in Vasco. The damage to car estimated around
Rs4.25 lakhs.
How can the DGP permit his official car to be used by IGPs son for partying
with his friends?Is there no control by the parents on their children? To quote
Nandkumar Kamat "There is a new culture-destroying or tampering with evidence
at the scene of a crime when a VIP gets involved.What type of societry is Goa
creating?".
The public would like to know what their government is doing in general to
control misuse of official vehicles and what the Home minister has to say about
all these police indescretions . What effect is all this having on the morale
of the police force, law and order and the citizens?Is the Chief Minister going
to remain a silent spectator?
