To Goanet - I am sorry I shall not engage the semi-literate smear-artist Frederick Noronha in any debate. The only thing to do is to shoo him away with a kick up his behind.
I presume this was posted on Goanet. I will send a copy there as well (with some minor changes since the mods there are likely to censor this post citing the presence of certain words that are to them unacceptable.) I want Goa to be primarily for Goans, and to be run primarily by Goans. This is not the same as saying that I want Goa to be ONLY for Goans. I have no qualms whatsoever making this ethnically chauvinist proclamation and neither should any Niz Goenkar. This bullcrap about everyone being migrants is just that - bullcrap. Humans did not sprout forth from the ground, did they? Imagine what it would be like to have Goa run over by filthy UP bhaiyyas & Biharis, not to mention other assorted North Indian savages from Delhi and its surrounds, and assorted ghatis from all over India. Goa has been a pleasant, civilized place BECAUSE IT IS COMPOSED OF GOANS. I am the first in line to be critical of Goans. I am acutely aware of the shortcomings in our collective character, our internal fissures, and the frailties in our social makeup. But I don't want to hear any goddam Indian hectoring to us or lecturing to us. I mean, which paradise in India did you leave behind and came to Goa for us to emulate your achievements? Now I am a guy with an open mind. I will reconsider my position about Goa being primarily for Goans as soon as the Bengalis are willing turn over Bengal to non-Bengalis, as soon as Gujaratis hand over the reins of their state to non-Gujaratis, as soon as Tamils cede control of their own state to non-Tamils, as soon as Kannadigas agree to turn their destiny over to outsiders, as soon as...you get the idea. It is bizarre, the very idea that any Indian has locus standii to lecture us Goans about tolerance and acceptance! I say to these morons, Go Shove It. One more thing regarding this delusion some outsiders channel through their whores like FN about their 'contributions' to Goa. What contributions? We Goans were doing just fine before you parked your ass here. The contributions I shall make a case for are FROM US GOANS TO YOU, FROM GOA TO YOU. You were fleeing the sewers that your cities, towns and villages in India have turned into. That is why you showed up here. We Goans had a jolly good life before you burdened us with your presence, thank you. (Note especially to gits like Amitava Ghosh: culture didn't come to Goa with you. Stink and filth did.)
